Linux File System
File system: structure of storage that organize data into files and directory. The file live in the directory which are often nested with other directory
Root Directory: The root of the entire system directory tree. represented by a single forward slash /
Paths: set of file and directory. used to locate a specific file or program
example: /home/downloads/flag.txt
PATH TYPES
Absolute path: The path which trace the location of file which start from root directory until the location of the file example: /home/downloads/flag.txt
Relative path: The path that do not start with forward slash or the root. Its start form your working directory.
./ (Dot file): This symbol represented current directory using cd ./ doesn’t move you into other directory
../(Dot Dot file): Represented your parent directory, which move you up into one level above in the system file tree.
Important Commands: ls: list rm: remove cd: change directory mv: move pwd: print working directory
